About
The Clockwork Cloud is the sustainability consulting practice of Alex Hender, operating as a specialist brand under Abundant Kindling.
My work in sustainability started in 2008, helping architects and building owners achieve thermal efficiency compliance and Green Star ratings. Since then, I've led commercial solar operations as CEO of Solar Depot Australia, managed large-scale facility operations, and advised organisations across healthcare, aged care, and commercial property on energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
I hold a Master's degree in Sustainability Science and have completed the AICD's Climate Governance program. But more importantly, I've actually run the businesses, managed the P&Ls, and delivered the projects — not just advised on them.
